I just attended a coldwell Banker seminar on Branding Yourself and Your Business.
The bottom line was people need to know who you are and you
must get the word out and get it out over and over again until when they
think about... in my case.. selling houses or buying houses they thinK about
you because you have left an indelible impression on them by ALL the mailings that you have sent.
One of the examples was a multi-million dollar earner who sent 36 pieces of
mail (per year) to his farm list of 4,000 homes. T
his gets expensive I thought plus... I think I would get very tired of seeing his literature in my mailbox 36 times per year ( I know this sounds like sour grapes) cause the man does make money.
But the other key component was that you BRAND YOU not the company you work for. So, all the literature had his picture with his family and his own logo and told his story. Very soft sell.
So if he leaves CB, he will still have a "following"
But I came up with another idea re: mailings offline to
get people to know you.
Send them little flashlights to light up their life
Send them ball point pens to write down their hopes and dreams
Popcorn cause you're just popping by to see how they are?
I also do a newletter that goes out once per month with my picture in it and I advertise for local businesses. But for my core potential customers I was thinking about the little gift ideas.
after I came up with this brilliant branding method
I thought about Dennis B and his program and will pm him to see the cost
of a 12 months branding campaign.
If you had a website and you printed that on all the great little
useful gifts with your picture ( if possible) wouldn't that work
If you wanted traffic to your site wouldn't this work?
I'll work out the costs factor
well, what do you think? Feedback is appreciated
