What I said may not be exactly what I meant....

Actually it is exactly what I meant, but it needs a little clarifying.

By the time I bought Corey's course, I had enough internet experience that I knew it was what I wanted to do. I had found an audience, and that thrilled me. I had found a way to "get published" without getting published, and that thrilled me. The whole think just thrilled me to pieces.

I had NO clue what to write about or what to sell or what kind of web site to start. That's because I had no clue what it took to make money on the internet, so I did everything wrong.

By studying Corey's course, I came up with a whole suitcase full of ideas (none of which had anything to do with what I *thought* I was going to do online). I could never have come up with those ideas before reading his course because, as I said, I didn't know what I was doing, so my mind was working in ridiculous directions.

If I wasn't sure whether I wanted to make my living online or start a "real world" business, I would not bother learning internet marketing first. There's no point. I would decide what I wanted to do, and then go about learning how to do it.

BTW, if you need to make a living NOW, do something else and come back to internet marketing when you have enough money to live and enough time to work on it consistently. If you have money to do massive advertising and building your traffic at the speed of light, I suppose that doesn't hold, but I bring in my traffic by onesies and twosies. That is not conducive to making quick money.
