Mystery shopping is real but I would not say that site is legit as it appears they cannot even afford their own a $49 SSL certificate. That is something to watch for. The URL you gave is secure but it is obviously some sort of shared SSL which many crooks will use. Legit folks use shared SSL as well, however, the mystery shopping opportunity business if full of crooks or just bad info brokers.
If I were you, I'd check out ShadowShopper.com. That is a legit site and the biggest MS hub I know of. Plenty of work around the country there. However, if you live in a small town away from the city then the jobs are quite limited. They don't just post mystery shopping job, though. They also list job openings for merchandisers as well as other retail services. This increases the # of jobs available in smaller areas bu t not much. Just depends where you live. All are independent contractor positions.
If you are serious about this, I would just go to Shadow Shopper and sign up there. It is really, really cheap to join. I think it's as little as $5/mo.
