Emerald Passport warning

This is a message to Bill and others who have a friend that is having problems getting any $ coming in marketing EPI. Here is my experience with it:

I signed up as a member of the "A-team" back in mid-Nov 2004. I spent, including the "e-blasts" marketing the web-based educational product, etc, about $4500 up to the end of 2004. I was using a cellphone to make the calls and because that became overwhelmingly expensive, I purchased a nice Panasonic landline and had Qwest phone service hooked up to my home. I was still working the EPI business hard and daily--if I couldn't attend the live training calls because of my work schedule, I listened to the ones that were recorded thru the A-Team archives online.

There were some members of the team that were having some problems getting qualified after 2 or 3 weeks, and one member who is a Dr. came aboard onto the A-team. He created this website where it was to "automate" sales for the distributors, without having to get on the phone to make the calls before the prospect said Yes. During this time, the International EPI Conference was taking place down in Panama City, Panama--our team motto of "Nobody gets left behind" couldn't have been farther from the truth! Those distributors that couldn't afford the $6K for the trip to the conference, were left on our own--the person that was running the Q&A calls was put in an awkward position of explaining the business plan, etc. and was literally looking anywhere I found out, for other distributors to give a testimonial on the calls--and one call there was so much silence on because nobody had any questions and/or the host didn't know how to answer them, because she was thrust into this position so quickly!

After nearly a month, nobody was having any success with this "Road Map to Gold" system, and the only way was found to have ANY success was that the distributor HAS to call the prospect first, get them to listen to a Q&A call, follow-up with the prospect, etc. This Road Map to Gold system was established WITHOUT approval of EPI--the team "leaders" didn't see any need to have it approved, and if you had used the Road Map to Gold system at all, you were notified that you would not receive any funds back ( $435.00 for that B.S. RMTG system pissed down the drain basically ). At this point after deeply regretting losing about $8,000 in 6 months, I decided to stop marketing EPI forever, and determined one fact about this business:

No matter what leads you purchase, including the very expensive bogus leads thru Emerald Leads ( like the guaranteed movie view leads in which a lot of instances I found out, the prospect said they didn't view a 5 min. movie, or they don't remember ) --the leads name our team had available to distributors, no matter what team you are a member of, no matter how much training you listen to, and practice with prospects over the phone, you WILL NOT make $ with this business if you don't have the "sales skill" of talking to prospects!!! A lot of other professionals will agree--it is not something you can learn---you either have the skill or you don't!

Note: EPI only acknowledges a 72 hour period of which you can ask for your $1,295 back to you that you spent for the product itself--if you can't make a sale within 72 hours from purchasing it, you'll know if you have the skill to sell this or not!

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example.         In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
