Grants actually exist. I meet a woman in San Diego that opened an Adult Care shelter. I think its located somewhere in the Lemon Grove area. I never went down to that part of San Diego, but I don't think it was a bad area. Anyway she worked for a company that provided Adult Care and some of the residents bills were paid by the state. I think she got to know one of the girls at the agency and when a grant came up to help w/ the opening of a new Adult care home, she told her about. The rest is history, she applied and got something like $40K to help w/ the purchase of the building and startup cost. I remembered she was grateful, but kind of complaining because it wasn't enough to do all that she wanted to do. Anyway they are out there.
As a rule though I don't get involved with Grants. I get calls all the time from people seeking grants and I really think most of the grants go to people in the "know".
