Hello,
I'm a newbie to internet marketing and need some advice. I've been studying and trying to learn how to market on the internet for a couple of years, but to this point have been, quite frankly, scared and reluctent to take the plunge due to the old "fear of failure syndrome" and the "must get it right syndrome".
I've heard and read that if one is going to have a chance at success at anything in life, you don't have to get it right, you just need to get it going.
Well, about a month ago I decided enough of this fence sitting. I'm going to dive in and at least get it going. If I make mistakes, which I will, so be it.
I contacted a developer of a product who is currently selling at the Clickbank Market Place, about aquiring the reprints rights to his product. I figured this might be the easiest way for me to get my feet wet and gain some valuable experience before trying to develop my own products.
The developer decided that he doesn't want to sell the reprint rights, but would rather like to setup a royalty arangement whereby he would allow me to sell the product as my own, give me access to his sales letter and allow me to make any modifications to both the product and sales letter.
Under this arragement I would pay him 20% of each sale made while I made 80% as opposed to signing up as his affliate and making 50% per sale.
He would want me to give him access to my sales stats for verification which he has every right to. Finally, my questions are, how does one go about furnishing the sales stats, since I wont be selling this via Clickbank and what is the best way to make this as legal as possible in order to protect both of our interests?
I'm in California, and he's in Australia.
Also, if I'm missing anything that I should be doing or shouldn't be doing, please let me know.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
