But the Trim International thing demonstrates so many bad things about MLM I want to point some out.
I was "introduced" to Trim International over a year ago and ran from it then so I knew what William was promoting without seeing the name of the company.
What I liked least was their advertising package program which is nothing more than a variation of the tool scam. You pay $100 to $2000 for an advertisaing package which will then provide you from 1 to 20 customers depending on the amount you "invest". Your payback is then made in monthly installments of ~4% of your "advertising investment" per month for 12 months then the balance of 50% in one lump sum. Then you get into commissions for recruiting people ionto the advertising program. (This is probably borderline with the FTC and when they get around to taking a look at it Trim International might be given a choice of dropping it or closing up shop)
From what I saw the major portion of the money comes from recruiting others into the advertising scheme and collecting commission off their advertising package purchases. Of course this means the advertising is over priced in the firstr place to cover commission costs.
The obvious question is what do they need the distributors for if they use tv and radio to gather customers. Well the answer to that is they need distributors to recruit and sell their advertising packages.
Way to many warning lights.
First warning light: Confusing pay plan.
I'll be more careful about the posts MawMaw and no offense taken.
Second warning light: Different entry levels (you are allowed to buy in at a higher income.
Third warning light: Product is downplayed and recruiting promoted.
fourth warning light: Promise to place the customers in your business for $100 each.
