Sells leads, lies, and actually looks to be in a relationship with ProStep, who I used to think were ethical leads vendors.

Hastened his departure from the spamware biz, but didn't really work hard on his takedown, since GEMSTARS/NICERS was destroyed from within. Hackers stole his software's unlock codes, and spammers (his main market) turned out to be crooks who would buy products with stolen credit cards and closed bank account checks.
I'm SHOCKED, just SHOCKED, I tell you - to hear of such unethical behavior from such a trustworthy population of upstanding citizens as spammers!!!! :-)
Lester sounded really bitter at the time of the death of his spamware company - but we in the anti-spam community danced little happy dances - around 2000 as I remember. The war was much easier then, before Russian mafia money got involved.
