I am no longer affiliated in any way with Amway/Quixtar and haven't been for about 2 years. I was involved trying to build a business for I think 3 years and never made any money, but I am grateful for the experience.
The personal development part of the "system" is unequalled. I have taken the Dale Carnegie course and was a graduate assistant but, quite honestly, the books, tapes and seminar system beats Dale hands down.
I have heard people that turned my life around; people like Robert Kiyasaki before he was famous as well as many of the top motivational speakers in the world.
I have met and became friends with some of the finest people in the world through the "business".
That being said, I think the actual business model is legitimate but could be tweaked to allow those at the bottom to make some money.
I also think that the ploy is deceptive and I suspect it evolved from the unscrupulous recruiters of the 70's who gave the company a bad reputation.
Some products are overpriced but I think even your grocery store has some bargains (loss leaders) but have to make it up somewhere.
The core products are great quality and good value. The "cost per use" will prove the value and trying them out will prove the quantity. My wife still complains about every other laundry product.
If you do not want to be involved (obviously) but want to help your friend, let me suggest that you become a "member". Not sure what the fee is, probably $15, maybe $20; less than a membership to Sam's club (where I find very few real bargains).
This would allow you to buy at the "wholesale" price and he would get credit or PV to count towards his bonus. Wholesale is the only way to buy it.
No business involvement necessary, great products with good value at reasonable prices, shop online, buy only what you want.
Everything is guaranteed with 100% money back satisfaction guarantee.
That way you can help your friend as well as yourself. It also puts everything in perspective as a shopping experience for you and marketing for your friend.

PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
