Note to The Tim: I am not posting this to start another political battle, so take it somewhere else. I am posting it as INFORMATION for people who want it.
IMPORTANT!!
During the Terri Schiavo Execution, everyone was saying they had to rush right out and get a Living Will.
It is ESSENTIAL to understand that a Living Will isn't what it seems.
A Living Will takes control out of the hands of the people who love you and puts control into the hands of people who don't give a rat's ass --
==> maybe they have an agenda,
==> maybe they need the bed,
==> or maybe they really, truly want to do what THEY believe is best for you and what YOU said you wanted.
The problem is, a piece of paper can't think, and it can't reason.
Circumstances are not always black and white, and that's where a human's ability to reason comes in -- and where LOVING YOU means everything.
If this is something that concerns you, then please read my Protect Yourself NOW! post and follow the links (you can skip the article linked in the first sentence if you want, but *DON'T* skip the two pages that explain the documents in question).
There is a legal document that can protect YOUR interests without putting YOUR wishes into the hands of "the system," and I think everyone needs to know about it.
I'm linking you to Out Of The Crapper instead of posting it here, not as a traffic-builder but because there are tons of articles for anyone concerned about the euthanasia issue -- which, IMHO, is one of the most important issues facing us. (Enter The Tim, who would call them all the rantings of a lunatic... well I beat you to it, The Tim, so like I said, take it outside. Not to worry... I don't plan to bring this up again.)
