SFI has been around for many years. They market both the MLM business opportunity and a line of products, the best of which is an all-purposr cleaner that is cheaper than and better than anything you can buy off the shelf. There are also other household cleaning products and health/nutrition products.
That said, SFI apparently has a habit of changing their compensation structure every year or two, benefitting some and leaving others out to dry.
I believe residents of the USA could do quite well selling the products through friends, neighbors, fund-raisers, swap meets, etc, and never give a backward glance at the MLM business opportunity. HOWEVER, not everyone -including me - has the type of personality to pull that off. Because of shipping costs, international people need to focus on internet marketing. Not everyone has the ability to do that either.
The company is solid and the products are solid. They emphasize that you can sign up for FREE and that training and web pages from which you can market the products are provided for FREE and when some people see that they equate it with no effort or investment which of course does not work. (If everyone did everything for free and sold nothing, where the heck would the money come from???)
I guess it's like a lot of other companies out there; it works for some and not for others. This most recent compensation plan change has hurt a lot of people because it places more emphasis on marketing products and less on marketing the business opportunity and most people who signed up are not equipped to do that.
