Margie, slow down take a breath

Margie,

This is going to be a long post so grab a cup of coffee and one of maamaw brownies and have a seat. ^..^

Slow down. Take a breath and start to think like the successful business woman you are. For the time being QUIT buying stuff that tells you how to make money on the interent. Most of it is crap (excuse my french) but that is what it is.

You must have had all sorts of sales people coming into your store trying to sell you stuff for you to resell. You didn't buy everything they had, use the same sense that you used then, to do business on the interent. If it smells funny, it is, walk away.

There is NO get rich quick formula just because it is the internet. The hardest thing to do is to drive traffic to a web site. It takes time to learn how to do that.

In one of the posts you mentioned that you did not want to take disability. Did you pay into disability insurance? Here in California it is part of our wage deductions. If you paid into it TAKE IT. You deserve it, it will also help your state of mind to have some money coming in no matter where it comes from. If you feel to proud to do that, swallow your pride and apply ASAP for what is rightly owed you.

Next thing to do is to look around your house and gather all the stuff you don't need and sell it on Ebay. The first things I sold on ebay was stuff from around the house that was no longer needed and made almost $400 in a week. You can do it to. Get a free copy of the bible of selling on ebay written by Syndey Johnston the so called queen of auctions. The 200 plus page ebook used to sell for about $25 but now give it is free. She takes you from being a rookie to being a veteran. Download a free copy at bottom of the page at (that is my affiliate link, to go there without using my link just remove the /peb.html)
http://mynas.sitesell.com/peb.html

Send back the Moreland book, you don't need that right now, plus it had a bad review on the Warrior Forum. You have to decide what to sell before you start placing ads.

Before buying anything from anybody on the net do a whois search on their web site. See if there is a name and a phone number you can call. If they don't put their name or phone number on the registration of their web site what are they hiding?

Use your woman's intuition, it gives women a much better ability to do business then us guys. Use it, if something feels wrong, walk away.

Make a budget/list of all the money you are spending, cut out ALL things that are not necessary. Most of us have a good amount of money we spend each month on stuff we DO NOT need. NEED is the key word. NEED NEED, do I/we REALLY NEED THIS. If not stop buying it. For example cable or satellite TV is not REALLY NEEDED it is a luxury.

I don't know if you have kids but if you do sit them down and explain to them what is going on and how you are now in battle mode. Explain to them that you have been forced into this new adventure so lets make the best of it. Kids can come up with great ideas on how to make money, let them help you, work as a family. Kids are so smart these days that they will sense it anyway, so explain to them that they can help out just by cutting unnecessary expenses.

The first project to work on together is the Ebay sales of stuff no longer needed.

Call me if you want, my number is on my web site. Keep the faith you can do it.

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane materials or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.  You are likewise prohibited from posting any false claims against any company or individual.  We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials.
By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example. You grant Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications complete, perpetual, but non-exclusive rights to use, archive, reproduce, adapt, modify, distribute, sub-license, repurpose, rework, compile, or offer for sale or resale the messages, postings or content appearing on this site in whole or in part, throughout the world and universe, on a royalty-free basis without remuneration.  If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board.
In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
