I believe your question is flawed. Why? Because there aren't 10 different successful businesses online.

There is sales and services. As far as I know everything falls under one of these.

These two subdivide into some other categories; what is being sold and what service is being provided.

For successful sales:
Ebooks, books on amazon, affiliate deals, some (rarely) MLM programs, online auctions, and even the sale of services as listed below.

For successful services:
hosting, editing, publishing, software creation, photography, advertising, and mass marketing name a few.

But basically there are only two; sales and services.

Those who are successful either know how to sell and use a proven online marketing method. Or they are knowledgeable enough to know how to perform a needed service and they provide it to others at a premium cost. The most successful dabble in a little of both.

So back to your question, Dave. As I said it is a loaded and unfair question. Only someone who doesn't know anything about online marketing or enough to provide any services of value would ask it. To come to a popular board and attack the owner or the moderators also screams "rookie!"

You need to realize something Dave. These boards aren't perfect. They are places where people can come to share info and learn and grow in their online business endeavors. Leslie (Maw) hasn't ever once said she knows it all. I have been visiting this board for years and she hasn't said it. But what she has says, and YOU DAVE need to read this, is simply that she has been online long enough to have made some errors. She uses this board as a method of warning others about those mistakes in order to prevent them from making the same ones she made. It saves those people smart enough (are you Dave?) to read and understand money, time, effort, energy, and hassle.

If you don't like the heat from the brownies being cooked here I don't think you would be missed. Better to remain silent and have everyone think you are a fool then to start typing Dave.
