It doesn't really fall under the category of "weekend" money...but more under the category of an add on to your business.
You have lots of experience with scams and scammers. You obviously have learned how to check out companies before getting involved, and you have learned to look at their sales pitch and know (almost immediately) if it is a scam or not.
I may not post much, but I DO pay attention!
Your knowledge is worth something MaaMaw. Worth alot more than you think it is. You know things that others do not know. People pay for all kinds of services these days.
Why don't you start a "scam research" service. Make it affordable, so that the people who are looking for a home business can afford it. It would be worth it to people who are afraid of getting scammed, and don't know how to find out what they need to know ahead of time.
If you really think about this...it's perfect for you. You have the knowledge. You already have a following online. You've built trust and credibility. There is pretty much zero start up costs involved. It's just a matter of putting a page on your website, and letting people know it is there. You collect your fee upfront, do the research on the company/business in question, then write out a detailed report, with your recommendation to your client, and send it to them.
You could even expand it if you wanted to, and go to bat for people who have been ripped off already. Your job would be to direct them as to how to get their money back basically, or at the very least, how to report the scammers to get them shut down. YOU would have to be willing to charge for your TIME! You would be surprised at the number of people who would be willing to pay for what you can do to help them! It's a good service, and there is a need for it. You may as well be the one to fill it. You are certainly qualified in my opinion!
