Offer your potential clients something NO OTHER Wedding Photographer is offering!
Offer potential clients something they WANT!...and will even pay you MORE for!
EVERY wedding has people who just can't make it to the wedding. "Uncle Al in Cleveland" who's recovering from a stroke. "Grampa Ed in Poughkeepsie" who broke his hip...etc. MANY friends and family of the wedding couple just CAN'T MAKE IT TO THE WEDDING!....BUT....they would LIKE to be there.
WHAT IF....you could provide a way for those who can't make it to the ceremony, a way for them to SEE PHOTOS of the wedding...the SAME EVENING of the wedding (or at the latest...the day after)
Would THIS be something whoever is hiring the photographer....would WANT?
I think so!
What if you (or an assistant) were to take some "Digital Candid shots" with a digital during the wedding and reception. What if you could upload the shots to a website where those who could NOT make it to the wedding...could simply "Click Onto the site and WHALA!...PHOTOS OF THE WEDDING THEY MISSED!"
I don't know about you...but "I" would surely hire a photographer that offered this "service" for me. In fact "I" provided THIS exact service when my daughter got married a few yrs ago. I simply got the photog to agree to let me take digi-candid shots...which I uploaded to a certain website...the address of which I INCLUDED ON ALL THE INVITATIONS....so that if they could NOT get to the wedding...they could see photos of it...THE SAME EVENING...just by going OnLine and typing in the Site Addy.
And...the results being...the folks, sitting at home, who went up to the site, LOVED THE PHOTOS. It was like they were there.
So...this is "just an idea". YOU will have to work out the details but...I think, no, I BELIEVE, if you were to offer THIS SERVICE to potential clients, they would HIRE YOU...WITHOUT SHOPPING OTHER PHOTOGS FOR A BETTER PRICE!
