Not only is everybody that is employed paying in to Social Security but their employers are paying in too...The ratio is 50/50 or each pays half...My wife and I are both on Social Security and not too long ago I made some calculations...Neither of us could live long enough to get back all we have paid into the system!...That is the absolute truth!...Between us, we have more than 70 years in the work force...
The thing is: Politicians from 'all' parties have been playing fast and loose with Social Security funds for a long time (and still are)...Social Security was 'supposed' to be an Inviolate Trust that couldn't be touched but somewhere along the way that was "forgotten"...
