I filled out the requested information, but no one asked for my driver's license or SSN numbers, much less to send a scan. Isn't that weird??
When I funded my E-Gold account, though, someone called on the phone to verify every scrap of information. I answered their questions -- but they ONLY wanted things like my DXGold account number, etc. Again, they did not ask DL or SSN. Maybe I was stupid, but I would have given this to PayPal if they had called after WARNING me that they would call when I filled out the application, and after asking me only to VERIFY what they already knew by spitting that back to me (as E-Gold warned me they would when I filled out the form). (If anyone was able to follow that curly-cue, you're a lot smarter than I am.)
Here's where I get screwed up:
E-Gold is a legitimate service, like PayPal -- is that right?
It's DXGold we're wondering about, yes?
Speaking of E-Gold, I did decide NOT to give them my bank account information. I decided if I ever figured out how to do this, I would sweep money out of PayPal (if that is indeed possible) and not give that information to any more people than necessary.
I'm not sure -- maybe I've already cooked my goose, but since I only put in $35 and didn't give any bank account info, I don't see how there could be a problem.
I would NOT NOT **NOT** recommend that anyone else get involved in this -- but if you must, do it WEENILY and do it SAFELY (if I did) (I hope I did) (did I?).
