Dear Kiddies,
Many months ago -- when I started taking in more and more transcription to make ends still not meet -- I decided I wasn't ever going to finish any of my own products. I decided I was doomed to merely dabble on the internet forever, and the best I hoped for was to add more affiliate programs (not that people aren't making huge money doing that, but I yearn to create my own products).
That's when I dumped my own merchant account.
For many reasons, I'm not going to get another merchant account now. It's out of the question.
I figured it didn't matter -- if I ever got anything done, I would accept credit cards through a third party, probably PayPal in order to simplify things and get the money moving into my bank account faster. (I sold my FFAT booklet and Boardwatch through two different third-party processors and both of them paid only twice a month; I can't afford a wait like that now.)
Okay, so for online sales, I've got it handled.
But what about offline sales?
Is there a third-party processor that allows you to input the CC information yourself? (I recall one from long ago -- it started with a "P" I think -- but it was the only one of its kind, and people were questioning the legality of the process; i.e., entering someone's credit card info to be processed by a third party.)
Any ideas how I can accept offline orders without requiring a check or M.O.?? If I can't accept credit cards, it's going to shoot a big hole in my sales.
I don't mind doing the research myself, but time is short, so if you would point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.
