I think the scheme you were referring to was called Stockgeneration. although I seem to recall there was one that involved reselling some kind of virtual art prints. I don't remember what it was called, maybe Darkhorse or something like that. I really can't see these virtual currency exchanges as nothing but an elaborate Ponzi scheme of some kind. Best advice is don't invest any more money than you think you can aford to loose.
