I have never doubted that a few people are making big bucks.
Making 20,000 requires "selling your product" (i.e., recruiting) 20 people. I would be thrilled to have an extra $20,000 in my pocket right now, but I can't laugh all the way to the bank when I know the majority of the 20 people I recruited are not going to make money. (That's a fact of life in ALL biz ops, not only MLM.)
> I have several in my group that are experiencing the same
And several who aren't and never will and that's where my conscience kicks in.
If the pitch made it clear that MANY people will not make money, and MOST people will not make lots of money, and it's ISN'T a sure thing, and it IS MLM -- well then I wouldn't have such a problem with it. But people buy it based on the hype, and the hype is just that -- hype.
No, there are no income guarantees -- they aren't that stupid -- but the hype has the same effect, and that's no accident.

I wasn't sure either -- but Ray is very sure.

The information may be excellent, but I don't think anyone is going to want it unless they're going for the "opportunity" -- certainly not for that price. If there were any way to prove it, I would ask you to show me a list of people who have bought it and NOT joined the opportunity -- but alas, telling it does not make it so.

First, FedEx and UPS *are* private couriers. A private courier is basically anybody who isn't the post office.
Second, it isn't a misconception. I got it right off the order form/contract, which said payment for the "product" MUST be sent via private courier. There was NO "mail" or "USPS" or "postal service" option. NONE.
Here is where the contract used to be, for all the world to see:
http://www.epassportinc.com/images/P2P_R_Order.htm
Interestingly, that link leads nowhere.
SURPRISE!!!
Actually, I expected that to happen. It disappeared after I posted this "RED FLAG" message with the link to the copy of the order form/contract:
http://friendsinbusiness.com/board1/archive1/index.cgi?read=87236
Obviously someone tipped them off that this was going to lose sales and they had the smarts to take it down.

I had a legitimate address in Southern California for six months after I moved to Northern California. If I wanted to, I could have a legitimate address in North Dakota. They're called "private mailboxes" and anybody who pays the rent can have them. It doesn't change the fact that the company is located in Panama.
I can't dispute your income claims -- but I can clear up the rest of the "facts."
Luv,
MaaMaw

PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
