Discussion Boards

COMMENTARY FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY (THE BROWNIE BAKER) (YOUR HOST) (AFTER SHE GOT HER EYEBALLS STUFFED BACK INTO HER FACE)

Dear, dear Jodi Saloga.... I find it so very VERY *VERY* odd that you say...

"I was going thru looking at all the message boards out there, there are two other boards I found with discussion messages. One of them is called...."

and you go on to name an MLM board on which I immediately found the following subject line:

"Is anyone else sick of the ongoing EPI (Emerald Passport) vs LLI debate here?"

Bear with me while I quote a line from the body of said message:

" If you look through this board, about the only topics on here are LLI vs EPI. While I know its a hot topic because they are competitive programs... I'd like some new threads to start up."

Is it possible that board is being quietly turned into an Emerald Passport recruiting station? (Where have I seen that phenomenon before?)

Moving on...

The ONLY other message board you could find "with discussion messages" happens to be the brand new one started up by the woman who seemed determined to turn this board into her own private EPI recruiting station.

About said board you concluded:

"(it) seems to be more open-minded and accepting to other peoples businesses, while it is more insight-related material."

Then you asked us:

"What are some other thoughts of these two boards in some other opinions??"

My question to you, dear Jodi Saloga of IP#24.20.166.4, would be this:

Why do you need to know our opinion of these two boards? No one needs an "opinion" on this kind of thing. You either like it or you don't. It's a personal decision.

And if you need our opinion, why did you say this on the brand new board?

"it will be great to get to see more open minds out there in regards to working from home, in whatever you feel comfortable with.... I look forward to being able to visiting this forum often... We are all here to assist everyone else!"

Maybe I misunderstood your comment. Maybe you really haven't decided if that particular board is worth your time or not.

CAN ANYONE HELP THIS LADY OUT AS SHE WRESTLES WITH HER DECISION?

=================

If you weren't so obviously attempting to promote "the brand new discussion board," I would have to conclude you were a complete idiot when you say you only found two discussion boards out there with "discussion messages."

For anyone genuinely interested in finding other ACTIVE and RESPECTED discussion boards that exist to "discuss" and not to "promote," you might want to visit Tony Blake's board, or the Sowpub board, or Willie Crawford's board, to name just three of many.

If your interest is MLM, you'll find a thriving board at mlm.com (although they don't exist to promote Emerald Passport, but hey, why should they, because EPI isn't MLM, is it? it's "direct sales").

In closing, I would like to say that your blatant promotion of Kimberly's board isn't even well done. It is completely transparent, and you just made a ninny of yourself.

You know what's even funnier???? The post on the other MLM board you mentioned -- the one by James D' -- says, "I know EPI is a hot topic, but..." and signs off with a reference so HIS brand new discussion board (which also happens to be Kimberly's brand new discussion board). Hmmmmm. Could he be trying to lure people to his own board?

Since you only found TWO boards with "discussion messages" and he's trying to take traffic away from one of them, I think we're in real danger here! I think it's conceivable that the rest of the internet could become a ghost town!

Luv,

MaaMaw

P.S. You know the sad part? If Kimberly had made any effort to become a member of this little FIB community WITHOUT promoting Emerald Passport every time she opened her mouth, and WITHOUT attacking us for our "negativity," and WITHOUT attempting to control every conversation she became involved in -- (get this! big revelation coming up!) -- I would have been HAPPY to announce her board AND to send people there, as I have done with many other new boards in the past. Believe it or don't.

P.S. Again: Kimberly and James, this poorly-done sneaky stuff is NOT the best way to build your board.

The absolute BEST, most COMPREHENSIVE Internet Marketing Course on the planet (thanks for the plug, Jodi)

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

Although we may, from time to time, monitor or review discussions, postings and the like on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, we are under no obligation to do so.  We are not responsible or liable for any claim arising from the content of any such discussions or postings or for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information contained within such locations on the Site.
You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane materials or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.  You are likewise prohibited from posting any false claims against any company or individual.  We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials.
By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example. You grant Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications complete, perpetual, but non-exclusive rights to use, archive, reproduce, adapt, modify, distribute, sub-license, repurpose, rework, compile, or offer for sale or resale the messages, postings or content appearing on this site in whole or in part, throughout the world and universe, on a royalty-free basis without remuneration.  If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board.
In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
