Howdy.
I wish I could stop by to visit the site, but I can't. Will just share my thoughts quickly....
When I started my word processing service back in 1980, I did tons of resumes for many, many years.
I didn't pay anybody anything for the privilege.
I read a whole pile of books on creating great resumes, then I took what I believed from each of them, threw away most of it, and created my own style.
People did very well with them, and they looked great (of course this was in the days when many were typed on a Selectric, and I had this spiffy word processor).
I got nothing but positive feedback (except that one guy who tore his up, spit on it and threw it at me, but let's not nitpick).
I did not pay anyone to teach me or set me up.
The fact that my resumes looked a little different actually *helped* -- not hindered.
The big resumes services said, "We'll submit your resume for you!" -- and they did, to tons of places in a BOOK of resumes! Some were creating 7-page resumes that just blew people away cuz they looked *so* impressive (and they were totally worthless).
My advice would be to read all you can, start on your own, and become the BEST.

P.S. My weakest link -- when I was typing resumes, dissertations, court transcripts, medical transcription, absolutely everything -- was MARKETING. If you can't sell your service, it might be best not to start. But for me, the key to selling was KNOWING I was the best. I did a rotten job because my initial contact was worse than bad -- it was ridiculous -- but once I got invited in, I was no longer intimidated and could do a bang-up job. But like every product and service on the planet.... **marketing** is everything. Even if you're like me, you have to get asked in!!
