I don't know the terminology, but after two years investing time, money, and energy, while leaving his full-time medical career, he gave up on Quixtar. The $600 was his "high-water" mark, and it has dropped considerably, since he isn't actively working it.
> $600 a month gross? I would consider that a half way decent part-time
> income. It's his/hers own business, built part-time. Hopefully, it's at
> the point, where he/she has a solid REPEAT customer base, so as a result

As a medical technician, he was earning over $10 an hour, with lots of over-time, double-time, etc. He dropped to just 8 to 10 hours a week in his medical field to build his Quixtar income.
Now, he has basically started from scratch with PPL, while still only working the minimum in his career field (to keep his licensing current). Others in this field can make over $600 by working a double weekend, then having 5 days off.
He told me about one couple that drive and work one weekend (double) in Houston and another in Baton Rouge. Two weekends a month and 26 days off, while still enjoying a great income.
It seems that he could do the same, to have more time to invest in his business, while keeping his income up.
> There's ALOT one can do with $600/month income. There's also people who
> want more than that.
But, he has given up more than $3000 a month, to earn $600. Go figure!
> So DON'T criticize someone making that kind of part-time income! HE/she
> may be satisfied with it.
Meanwhile, his family has much less to live on. Sorry, but I'm not ready to congratulate his entrepreneurial drive.
> What can one do to earn more? It takes work, believe me , I know.
Having been full-time self-employed since 1987, I know what I can and have accomplished by working at my business.
> From my expereince as an IBO, yes health and beauty products are hard to
> sell. Notice I said sell. Quixtar is best built retailing/wholsaling,
> versus recruiting.
My business is all about selling, but it's a totally different market, selling to business, industry, and gov't buyers, all across the US, online and face-to-face.
> Why? Because their products for the MOST part have the ability to ADD
> value in the marketplace.
> I focus on selling XS Energy Drinks. Why? It's competitive, and it beats
> the competition hands down , in quality and price and TASTE.
My business is promotional advertising, which definitely has an established demand. I just recognized one of my earliest customers, who has been ordering from me for 20 years. (I started part-time in '84, so that's how I had sales before I went full-time in '87).
> I'm a product focused IBO and concentrate 97% on retailing and 3% on
> recruiting business partners.
I have no clue what and IBO or AMO are. Many times, those in MLM will lose prospects by throwing out jargon and anacronyms that are meaningless to those on the outside.
I'm customer service oriented, and sell mostly through relationship selling and networking. Approximately 80-85% of my business time and energy is focused on sales and service, with the balance spent on sponsoring, mentoring, and supporting my sales group of associates.
My opportunity isn't MLM, but does have a dual income stream available, for those who choose to recruit and train others to sell for our company. Over-ride compensation is only paid on immediate associates, so no downline or MLM component exists.
And, no one with the company, employee or independent agent, is earning income from the sales of tapes, or having recruiting meetings/conferences.
Best regards,
Dennis Bevers
Real work really works for me!

PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
