A problem with the 'Send To' option

When I right click on a file in Explorer and use the
Send To option I hear the annoying revving up of my CD
Drive (when there's a CD in it).

I think this is due to the Send To list containing a
shortcut to that drive.

Two questions

1. Is this to be expected or is it a 'bug' ?

2. Can I remove the shortcut ?

I have found the Send To file (it is hidden) and I am
able to add entries to it. However the shortcuts to
the CD Drive (and to the floppy drive) don't appear in
the list.

I am using Windows XP.
