Congratulations! You're getting into the mailorder business. Here's a few tips from my 30+ years marketing via mail:
[1] Don't expect to "get rich" overnight. It takes time (translate that to years) to usually create a successful mailorder business. There are exceptions, but the reality is ...
[2] You must treat it as a business. With any business there are inherent risks. If you're not willing (or not financially able) to assume risks, your chances will drop, because...
[3] NO ONE can guarantee your success.
[4] TEST, TEST, TEST... and when you're finished testing....
[5] Test some more.
[6] You MUST have a "back-end" product to offer people once you get them into your marketing funnel. The money is in the back-end of the business.
[7] Your greatest asset as a mailorder entrepreneur is your LIST. The money is in the list. Work your list systematically and nurture those on the list so you develop a relationship with them.
[8] Put ALL your profits back into the business for the first year (minimum).
[9] Be careful that you do not UNDERPRICE your products. I've seen lots of people leave tens of thousands of dollars on the table because they simply did not charge enought for their products.
[10] Whether you're creating or marketing someone else's product...find the MARKET first ... then marry the product to the market. Look for a hungry market of buyers... then offer them the product they have an interest in buying.
You will be successful. Don't let anyone rob you of your dreams. The greatest nation in the world is "DETERMINATION" and an esssential quality for success in mailorder (or any other business) is "STICKABILITY"...
