I forget if it's Melaleucca or which one of the others, but yes, we've seen this before. You'll see this one out there advertised as "moms helping moms" and so forth but a scam by any other name is still a whopping loss of money down the drain.
Here's how it works:
You sign up. You find that you're actually in an MLM with an "autoship" program. This means that you commit to buying a certain amount of product each month (often more than you can use in a month) and it gets sent to you and the money is automatically deducted from wherever you designated. Then you're told that all you need is a few moms to join under YOU and the "rebate" to you from their monthly autoship pays for YOUR autoship. So if you run out and recruit a bunch of moms, YOUR membership and goodies will be free and by golly you could suddenly start making money -- even MORE money than your hubby does.
Yeah. And I'm a petunia.
It's hard to get the autoships stopped -- you find that getting out of it can be a mess.
By now, lots and lots of people know and stay away from this one. It's hard to recruit members without spending lots of bucks.
I think one variant of this was shut down by the law.
Bottom line: stay away.
